11th Year Wearing Top Gun Wings
I absolutely love volleyball. I hope that doesn’t sound strange, but
I do. Volleyball has had such a positive affect on my life that I feel
I owe it a debt of gratitude. While growing up, playing volleyball
helped me to choose like-minded friends who made healthy and
confident decisions. Volleyball enabled me to attend the
University of La Verne and then volleyball helped me stay focused
on achieving my academic goals. Volleyball has taught me the
importance of family and community. All in all, thank you volleyball
for helping me miss most of the potholes in the road called life.
Oh, you ask how I came to feel this way. I played for Top Gun
throughout high school and I have coached for Top Gun
throughout college and ever since. I’m proud to say that my sister
Allison is following in my footsteps. She too played for Top Gun
throughout her high school days and now she is an All-American
at Cal Poly and coaching her first Top Gun team this season.
